I stand corrected – Thanks very much Al!

The Alexander SANDERSON I mistakenly indicated as a child of this George SANDERSON was actually a child of Nancy and Alexander SANDISON (an Indian of uncertain origins). I have deleted him and replaced him with the proper Alex. Also note other changes and additions made.

I come from the line of William Sanderson and Janet Atkinson. Does anyone know anymore of Janet Atkinson? or is there any status indians to this line?

As stated in the narrative, Janet ATKINSON was the daughter of Nancy KIPLING and George ATKINSON (1795-1845) who were both half-breeds (Metis), so they obviously had Indians in their maternal ancestries.

In 1881 Janet (nee ATKINSON) SANDERSON (William’s wife) re-married to Peter MORWICK, son of Sarah SABISTON and James MORWICK (1778-1865) from the Orkneys.

Where do you fit into this lineage?

Thanks mbeatty; I have this lineage fairly well documented down to your grandfather Alfred’s family.
I often do Special Family Pages for people who make donations. More about that at this link:
